Instant Life Insurance - Life Insurance in the Fast Lane
Most people know that they ought to take out a life insurance policy, especially if they have dependents. But in the world we live in, where we have instant access to everything we need or want, the time it requires to find a decent life insurance policy seems like an eternity. We know that this is an important decision that merits spending some good time on research, but we are so impatient with anything that takes longer than a minute that we either postpone the decision indefinitely or choose the fastest, cheapest option. But that was before you had the option of instant life insurance.
Insurance companies today make it their business to keep a clear sense of the pulse of the American people. They know that if they provide the convenience that people want, people will pay extra to save themselves the extra ten minutes of research. So there are some companies now that are offering instant life insurance. They don't require you to undergo a physical exam for approval. They don't really need to know your medical history. All they need to know are some basic facts about your general health and medical history and they can offer you a life insurance policy on the spot.
But there is definitely a catch. These instant life insurance policies, while undeniably fast, are often quite expensive, and they don't offer very extensive coverage. Without the confirmation of a medical exam or an in-depth medical, they really have very little idea of what kind of a risk they're taking on when they sell you insurance. In order to mitigate their exposure to loss, they cover themselves by keeping the terms on these policies short and making the premiums high. This way, the insurance company is covered if you happen to pass away before you've made a significant amount of premium payments.
It's nice to know that there are options available for the "I want it now" generation. But before you log on to spend your hard-earned wages on instant life insurance just because it's the easiest solution, think about all the money you could save if you took the time to really consider your insurance needs. And think about how thankful your loved ones would be if you made the effort to make sure that they were well provided for in case something happened to you. Time is money, but sometimes, money is worth the time.
